New Search Categories and What They Mean for NC Properties

Airbnb's summer 2025 release expanded its search category system, making it easier for guests to find properties that match specific criteria. For NC property owners, the categories most relevant to your properties include Beachfront, Amazing Views, Luxe, and Trending — all of which can significantly increase a property's visibility to high-intent guests.

Qualifying for these categories requires meeting specific criteria related to location, amenities, and review score. Updates to the Superhost Program

The summer 2025 release included updates to the Superhost program that affect how Superhost status is calculated and displayed.
